Daniel F. Williams : Winter Park
Dan Williams has been with First National Central Florida
since June 1999, where he is Executive Vice President
- Senior Leader.
Mr. Williams has 24 years of experience in banking
and bank regulation. He began his career as a Financial
Economist with the Comptroller of the Currency and
the National Credit Union Administration in Washington,
D.C. As a corporate lender at Southeast Bank, Mr.
Williams was a relationship manager for a number
of national companies in the Midwest, including GMAC,
Chrysler Financial and Goodyear.
As a community banker for ten years with First Mercantile
National Bank (later, Regions Bank), Dan Williams
developed a broad customer base in the local community.
His portfolio included distribution companies, car
and truck dealerships, homebuilders, contractors
and finance companies. Special emphasis was placed
on providing mortgage loans to businesses for their
own properties as well as investors in hotels, restaurants,
shopping centers, apartments and self-storage facilities.
Many of his customers followed when Mr. Williams
moved to First National Bank of Central Florida.
Mr. Williams earned a B. A. in History at Gettysburg
College (1974) and an M.A. in Economics at The George
Washington University (1980). While working as a
Financial Economist, he wrote research articles that
were published in academic journals and in a college-level
textbook.
Civic involvement has included serving as President
and Treasurer of the Miami Business Economists Association,
three terms as Treasurer of Congregation Beth Am
and four terms as Treasurer of Seminole Softball
Club. He has spent many years coaching girls fastpitch
softball with his two daughters and soccer with his
son.
Karen L. Roche : Winter Park
Karen Roche began working at First National Bank of Central
Florida in June of 1999. She is currently Senior Vice President, Credit Department Manager. She is also the current workout officer and CRA Officer. She has been in banking since 1984 with
expertise in branch operations, branch management,
residential mortgage lending, commercial lending and
commercial real estate lending and credit.
Prior to joining First National, Karen served
as a Vice President of Commercial Lending at Regions
Bank, formerly known as First Mercantile National
Bank, where she was employed for ten years. Her accomplishments
included forming and running the residential mortgage
division.
Mrs. Roche graduated from the University of Central
Florida with a Bachelors of Business Administration
degree with concentration in management. She enjoys
many outdoor activities and is a Docent at the Central
Florida Zoo.
